Apply now and define the future of work! /p h3The Position /h3 pA Team Leader is responsible for all the work of a team and the spokesperson for everyone in it. They are expected to manage the team dynamics and always bring the best in everyone. A team leader is not expected to be the best in a team but rather help others become the best version there is and gear the team towards optimised execution. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liManage a small product team of 3-5 engineers (backend and frontend). /li liSpend about 30% of time on management activities; actively participate in product development outside of management duties. /li liParticipate in hiring processes for their own team and potentially assist peers. /li liOversee onboarding of new engineers. /li liAct as the spokesperson for the team, manage team dynamics, and bring out the best in each member. /li liProvide continuous, constructive feedback on all aspects of the team’s work. /li liSupport the team’s growth as a group and oversee each direct report’s career development. /li liProvide guidance and coaching to the team. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liLed an engineering team of at least 2 people. /li liExtensive experience with Backend (Elixir/Phoenix). /li liCommitment to promoting Remote's values within the team and the organisation. /li liSolid communication skills. /li liSolid knowledge of engineering and development principles and best practices. /li liProven organizational skills with attention to detail. /li liFocus on efficient processes with a kind, people-first approach. /li liAbility to inspire others and instill confidence. /li liUnderstanding of team dynamics. /li liAmbitious and intentional about diversity, equality and inclusion. /li /ul h3Practical Details /h3 ul liReporting to: Engineering Manager /li liDirect reports: 2-5 Engineers /li liTeam: Engineering /li liLocation: Anywhere in the world /li liStart date: As soon as possible /li /ul h3Compensation Philosophy /h3 pRemote's Total Rewards philosophy is to ensure fair, unbiased compensation and fair equity pay along with competitive benefits in all locations in which we operate. We pay above in-location rates and use geo ranges to consider geographic pay differentials as part of our global compensation strategy. /p pThe base salary range for this full-time position is USD 73,150 to USD 164,600. The actual base pay depends on location, skills, experience, training, business needs and market demands.
