Reporting to the Assistant Director of Finance, this role involves managing the financial accounting team and ensuring the financial integrity of the organisation. The successful candidate will be pivotal in enhancing financial controls and supporting cross-departmental collaboration. /ppbDay-to-day of the role: /b /pulliEnsure complete and accurate recording of the organisation's financial transactions with appropriate documentation. /liliConduct monthly Balance Sheet and income/expenditure reconciliations. /liliManage timely financial reporting to external bodies and ensure compliance with HMRC/Revenue requirements including VAT and Corporation tax. /liliOversee the organisation's audit programmes and the preparation of statutory accounts in compliance with current accounting standards. /liliLead treasury management activities, including maintaining bank mandates and managing online banking services. /liliDevelop and implement financial control processes to improve month-end procedures and financial reporting accuracy. /liliMonitor organisational cash flow and perform cash flow forecasting. /liliManage, develop, and support the financial control teams, fostering a high-performance culture. /li /ulpbRequired Skills Qualifications: /b /pulliA fully qualified Accountant with proven experience in financial management and accounting within a similar role (3+ years). /liliStrong leadership skills with experience in managing and developing teams. /liliExcellent knowledge of accounting standards and compliance requirements. /liliProficiency in financial software and systems, with a willingness to lead software implementation projects. /li /ulpbHow to apply: /b /ppTo apply for the Group Financial Accountant position, please submit your CV here or contact Laurence at REED Belfast. /p
