pFounded on 14th April 1900 in Paris, the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) is the world governing body for cycling. Its mission is to develop and supervise cycling in all its forms and for everybody, as a competitive sport, as a healthy recreational activity and as a means of transport and having fun. Additionally, the UCI promotes a number of its own events, including the UCI Road World Championships, an iconic annual event, and a wide range of other UCI World Championships and World Cups across the various disciplines. It is based in Aigle, Switzerland, at the UCI World Cycling Centre. /ppTo support its Legal Service, the UCI is looking for a:br/pbrstrongpstrongLegal Counsel (100%) brEnglish - French /strong /p /strongbrpstrongMain responsibilities: /strong /pulliContract management: drafting and reviewing commercial contracts (sponsorship, media rights, licensing) and event-related contracts (hosting agreements, service providers) /liliManagement of insurance programme: review of event-related insurances and management of claims /liliManagement of UCI trademark protection programme (UCI logo and rainbow trademark) /liliManagement of debt recovery procedures /liliDrafting, review and update of regulations applicable to the different disciplines of the UCI /liliManagement of UCI and UCI WCC’s commercial registry publications /liliLegal research and drafting of various memos /liliClose collaboration with other departments of the UCI: advice on application of UCI Regulations and management of disputes involving stakeholders of cycling /liliSupport to the Head of Legal and Compliance on various subjects. /li /ulpstrongProfile: /strong /pulliHolder of a law degree /liliWorking experience as a legal counsel (2 years minimum) /liliOutstanding command of French and English, both written and spoken /liliWorking experience in sports administration an asset /liliAbility to synthesise and analyse /liliAbility to communicate and share information effectively /liliOrganised, thorough and able to work under pressure /liliAbility to set priorities and comply with deadlines /liliKeen sense of service and confidentiality /liliTeam spirit /liliGood computer skills /liliInterest in cycling and sport in general /liliHolder of bar exam an asset. /li /ulpbrStart date : immediately or to be agreed /ppbrJoining us is an opportunity to be part of current affairs in sports and to contribute to the success of the UCI World Cycling Centre.
