Performs basic duties including trimming, weighing, packaging, and labeling products as needed, as well as promotes customer service. /p h3Essential Duties And Responsibilities /h3 ul liAssists with cutting, weighing, packaging, and labeling product. Uses non-precision and precision tools and/or instruments to cut or trim unfinished meat products into desired sizes, shapes, and/or weight. /li liAdheres to quality control and food safety standards by stocking and rotating market products. Ensures that coolers and freezers are organized according to Company guidelines. Adheres to all governmental product origin labeling. /li liCleans, assembles, and prepares equipment for operation, and examines to check working order. (Partners must be 18+years) /li liPromotes product sales through use of suggestive selling initiatives. /li liStacks pallets and sorts product into correct locations according to Company efficiency standards and expectations. /li liProvides friendly and customer-service-oriented attitude by greeting customers, answering questions and taking orders by phone and in person. /li liMaintains clean, safe and sanitary working and shopping environment by adhering to Company safety procedures. /li /ul h3Knowledge, Skills And Abilities /h3 ul liAbility to read and operate digital equipment, meters, dials, and/or calibrated scales. /li liAbility to safely operate and maintain department equipment. /li liAbility to safely work with sharp objects such as knives, meat grinder, box cutters, etc. /li liAbility to use non-precision and precision hand tools. /li liAbility to operate a manual or electric pallet jack. /li liAbility to safely operate hazardous tools and equipment such as a bailer, etc. /li liAbility to work well with fellow partners and promote a team environment. /li liAbility to effectively communicate (in written and verbal form) with customers and partners. /li liAbility to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays. /li liMust be attentive to potential hazards and remedy or place appropriate warning signs or devices around or near the hazard as soon as is reasonably possible. /li liMust report any potential hazards that cannot be immediately remedied to a supervisor. /li /ul h3Education, Experience And Qualifications /h3 ul liMinimum of 18 years of age required. /li liMust be 18 years of age to operate and clean motorized equipment. /li liPartners must be 21 years of age or older to drive for Company business in accordance with the BGC Business Driver Policy. /li liTypically involves on-the-job training. /li liFood Handler certification required /li /ul h3Physical Demands /h3 ul liContinuously required to use close vision, distance vision, depth perception or the ability to focus. /li liContinuously required to stand or walk. /li liContinuously required to use hands for reaching, touching or handling. /li liFrequently required to bend, kneel, squat, or stoop. /li liFrequently required to push, pull, maneuver or lift objects up to 40 lbs. /li liFrequently required to talk and hear. /li liOccasionally required to push, pull, maneuver or lift objects up to 75 lbs. /li liAttendance at work is required. /li /ul h3Work Context And Environment /h3 ul liWork is generally performed in a retail store. /li liFrequently exposed to extreme cold conditions (non-weather). /li liFrequently exposed to wet, slippery or damp conditions. /li liFrequently exposed to equipment with sharp blades or edges. /li liFrequently exposed to cleaning agents. /li liModerate to loud noise level. /li /ul pReady to find your place?
