As a Project Engineer at Autronica, you will play a key role in developing and delivering fire and gas detection systems for hazardous areas. Depending on which team and location you join to, you will work with boffshore modification projects in Energy sector, Maritime newbuilt and retrofit projects, or industrial land projects. /b You will also test and commission solutions and act as the technical expert for customers. /p pThis is your chance to combine engineering skills with meaningful work that directly prevents accidents and saves lives. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liTurn customer needs into solutions – analyse specifications and design safe, reliable systems that meet regulations. /li liShape the solutions – define system components and ensure a smooth handover to our production team. /li liBring systems to life – configure fire detection and security systems and run Factory Acceptance Tests together with customers. /li liKeep projects on track – create clear documentation for colleagues, approval bodies, and customers. /li liBe hands‑on with customers – support installations, integrate systems with other equipment, and solve technical challenges along the way. /li liBe the go‑to expert – act as the technical point of contact in projects, supporting project managers and ensuring the right solutions are delivered. /li /ul h3Who You Are /h3 pYou are motivated and curious and bring a strong interest in safety‑critical systems and enjoy solving complex technical challenges. Experience with PLC programming, Linux‑based systems, CAD software, or the fire detection industry is a plus, but your willingness to learn and develop is equally important. You thrive in a collaborative, adaptable environment where your analytical skills and technical expertise make a real impact. /p ul liDegree or vocational background in engineering – B.Sc. or M.Sc. in electronics, electrical, automation, or a related field. Vocational qualifications (Fagbrev) as electrician, in instrumentation, or electronics are also highly valued. /li liExperience with 3D CAD, AutoCAD (Electrical) or similar software. /li liExperience in PLC programming and configuration of Linux‑based computer systems and networks is an advantage. /li liExperience from the fire detection / safety industry is a definite advantage. /li liFluent written and oral in English, Norwegian is a plus. /li liFamiliar with regulations that apply to the fire detection industry; land, maritime and offshore energy is a definite advantage. /li /ul h3What We Offer /h3 pJoin Autronica and take your career to the next level.
