In short: We are known for reliable and energy-efficient power solutions – with a strong global position and a technological hub right here in Drammen /b. /p h3The RD department /h3 pIn Drammen develops market-leading rectifiers and inverters for large international customers around the globe. /p h3About the role /h3 pAs Quality Manager, RD, you will be a central contributor to product quality, customer satisfaction and continuous improvement. You will act as the quality voice in RD, working closely with development teams, factories and key customers in an international environment. /p pThis role offers a strong mix of hands‑on quality work, technical problem‑solving and cross-functional collaboration. You will get real influence on both products and processes and will be reporting to Head of RD in Drammen. /p h3Main responsibilities and tasks in this role /h3 ul lipTaking initiative in technical problem‑solving and driving close follow‑up across disciplines and teams /p /li lipMonitoring and reporting product quality and field performance towards key OEM customers, acting as the quality interface /p /li lipRepresenting Quality in core RD processes, including projects, NPI, ECN/ACR activities, internal audits and certification work /p /li lipLeading fault analysis and internal improvement initiatives in close cooperation with RD and factory teams /p /li lipOwning customer complaint handling, including coordination of failure analysis and preparation, follow‑up and closure of 8D reports /p /li lipAnalysing field data and quality metrics to identify trends, root causes and improvement opportunities /p /li lipContributing to the development, implementation and maintenance of the Business Management System (BMS) in Norway and Switzerland /p /li /ul h3Professional qualifications and skills/leadership skills for the role /h3 ul lip5+ years of first‑hand experience from technically heavy environments, including engineering, manufacturing, or RD (electronics, HW/SW, mechanics or related fields) /p /li lipAt least 3 years of hands‑on experience in quality management, risk management or similar roles /p /li lipStrong understanding of relevant quality standards (ISO and others) /p /li lipAn analytical mindset with solid understanding of data, statistics and business impact /p /li lipProven ability to support root cause analysis using data from field, factory and customer sources /p /li lipBSc or MSc in Electronics or a related field (relevant experience may compensate) /p /li lipEducation in Quality Assurance or extensive practical experience /p /li lipProject management training and/or Lean Six Sigma experience is an advantage /p /li /ul h3Personal attributes /h3 ul lipStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with cultural awareness in an international environment /p /li lipStructured, well‑organised and positive in your approach /p /li lipAble to adapt to changing needs and make sound judgments beyond predefined routines /p /li /ul h3Other /h3 ul lipFluent in English, with strong skills in standard IT business tools /p /li lipSome business travel should be expected /p /li /ul h3We offer /h3 pWith us, you will be part of a professional, profitable, and solid organization.
