ph3Technical Advisor - Structural Discipline /h3 h3bMacGregor – Let's shape the future together /b /h3 pMacGregor is seeking a high-level expert to join our team as a Technical Advisor - Structural Discipline. /p pIn this role, you will be responsible for providing technical guidance to ensure discipline alignment and design integrity across our operations. You will act as a guardian of quality, ensuring full compliance with international standards and regulations while driving continuous improvement initiatives. As a senior subject matter expert, you will be pivotal in fostering technical development within your discipline and promoting proactive knowledge sharing across various teams and departments. /p h3bMore tasks and responsibilities /b /h3 ul liAct as the technical focal point for all disciplines - specific advice support. /li liPerform structural reviews, and support changes to ensure rigor and quality across all designs. /li liEnsure all design activities comply with international standards, regulations, and client requirements. Actively monitor changes in global regulations and proactively update product designs. /li liLead initiatives to evaluate and implement new tools and work processes. Improve project quality and implementation efficiency by using modern engineering practices. /li liSupport the growth of the engineering team by mentoring team engineers and helping Line Managers define the competencies required for both internal teams and external contractors. /li /ul pThis role encompasses both Technical Advisory and Structural Analysis responsibilities. The holder will actively support current projects by providing essential analytical backing within the discipline. /p pThe position will be based in MacGregor’s office located in Gdansk, Poland or Kristiansand, Norway, and reporting directly to the Manager, Mechanical and Structural. /p h3bWhat you’ll need to succeed /b /h3 pTo thrive in this senior expert role at MacGregor, you should be a seasoned engineering professional with a deep technical foundation and the ability to influence others. We are looking for an individual who combines analytical rigor with a collaborative mindset. /p pIdeally you have: /p ul liA M.Sc. or B.Sc. degree in Engineering. Extensive relevant professional experience may compensate for the lack of a formal degree. /li liAt least 10 years of experience within a relevant engineering or technical field, demonstrating a proven track record of handling complex deliverables. /li liExperience within the offshore and marine industry. Experience with motion equipment, such as cranes and gangways, is an advantage. /li liA deep understanding of structural engineering principles, design processes, and routines. /li liA solid understanding of product technology, including practical knowledge, and maritime rules and regulations. /li liProficiency in structural analysis software such as Ansys and SpaceClaim is required. /li liStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and design integrity. /li liAbility to work in international teams, with the capacity to motivate and inspire your colleagues. /li liOpen-minded approach driven by a spirit of continuous improvement. /li liFluency in English, both written and spoken. /li /ul h3bWhy MacGregor? /b /h3 pOur people are behind every success.
